Year 7 English Workbook introduces Level Four of The New Zealand Curriculum – English. It is set out in an attractive, write-on format, to engage young learners (typically, 11-year-old and 12-year-old students) in ‘making meaning’ and ‘creating meaning’ in English. It includes a section on Language Tools that deals with word classes, sentence types, punctuation, and using a dictionary and a thesaurus. It contains plenty of exercises that provide opportunities for students to apply knowledge and practise skills. It provides a wide variety of contexts for learning. It has been written so that most students can work through the book independently. Extensive use is made of New Zealand stories and examples to illustrate concepts.
